Nintendo talks about the price reduction for the switch
A couple of days ago it was announced that the price of Nintendo Switch had decreased in Europe. Although there was no information for other regions, this gave rise to a series of speculation that had excited all those who have not yet have this console. However, The Great N finally decided to talk about this topic, and has not provided good news.
Stephen Totilo, journalist of Axios Gaming, contacted Nintendo of America to clarify these doubts. Unfortunately, the answer he received is one that nobody wanted to hear, since the Japanese company does not intend to reduce the price of the console in the United States . This was what was said about it:
The commercial price adjustment is only for the European region. There are no plans to change the sale price suggested by the manufacturer for any model of Nintendo Switch in the United States.
Nintendo Tells Me Yesterday's switch Price Drop Was Just for Europe (and The UK):
The Trade Price Adjustment Is For The European Region Only. There are no plans to change the Manufacturer's Suggested Retail Price for Any Nintendo Switch Model in the U.S.

Although this well refers to the United States, and there is a possibility that the price of switch see an official change in other countries, this is no longer seen as something likely . Currently, one of these consoles cost $ 299.99 dollars, while the Lite model leaves at $ 199.99 dollars. Recall that the modification in Europe and the United Kingdom is due to the changes of the currency, as well as the next arrival of the OLED switch on October 8, 2021.
